Newington Cards offers a unique design concept in greeting cards  

We are world suppliers of history-themed birthday cards... cards that you won't find in any stores...  cards with individual significance.

People are always fascinated to discover that they share their birthday with somebody famous, or that some world-changing event happened in the year they were born.

We have a Day-based range of cards - “On Your Day In History”, for a uniquely personalised birthday    

and a Year-based range - "In The Year You Were Born", for a truly memorable birthday
 
... all with historical events as a central theme.    

So if you want to give a friend, relative or loved one a really personal card with true meaning then look no further.
 

Day-based Range - (personalised)

With a history theme, these nostalgic cards are day/month specific and are individually tailor-made to suit each day of the year.

Each card features a front cover portrait of a famous person from the past who shares the same birthday (day/month) as the recipient.

This famous person is displayed giving a personal ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting to the recipient by name via a speech bubble. 

On the inside front cover of each card is a list of other famous people who share the same birthday, along with significant historical events that occurred throughout history on the same date.  

Page 3 of each card has been left blank with enough space for you to write your own personal message and greeting.

Each day of the year is a different card, with a different person on the front cover and different events.   And every date has been carefully researched to ensure historical accuracy.

These cards are also available in a non-personalised form without a speech bubble or greeting.


Year-based Range

This range of birthday cards focuses on the year in which a person was born with the front of each card depicting an image of a great human achievement, or a major world event that occurred in that year.

Inside the front cover is a list of other important events that also occurred throughout the world in that year.

There is a unique card for every single year of the 20th century to the present time, and each year is a different card with different events. 

Every year has been thoroughly researched to ensure historical accuracy. 

These cards are also available in a personalised format.
